Young Justice Episode 25 Usual Suspects

This episode was, just wow. I was on the edge of my seat for this entire episode and we’re just getting warmed up by this episode. We kick things off with the newest members of the Justice League being introduced with Plastic Man, The Atom, Dr. Fate, Icon and Red Arrow. Rocket joins the Team meanwhile and she is thrown right into the thick of things for sure, this insane week.

We have some unfinished business with Chesire, but it appears to be a trap. Or a bush, as in ambush, if you are the Riddler. Yeah, that one kind of made my roll my eyes as well. We have a good fight and Superboy burns right through the last of his patches that Lex Luthor gives him. This was a pretty good fight scene, but what is to come really sets the tone right for this episode.

Our three potential mole suspects are summoned by the people that they are being blackmailed by. It appears for the briefest of moments that Artemis seems to be the most willing to betray the team, with Miss Martian and Superboy only being coerced into doing so, but naturally it was a set up. We have a fight scene. Chesire abandoning Sportsmaster to his fate was choice, given that their relationship is not that strong.

Lex Luthor escapes and obviously, he has the money to get himself out of the situation. I loved his casual dismissal of Aqualad, saying that if he wanted to bring Luthor up on charges, he was going to have to talk with his attorney first. The team does manage to get the win, and things appear to edge their way right back to normal.

Or so it seems. In the Watchtower, Batman is analyzing the contents of the briefcase that the team got but Red Arrow slips behind him and plants something from behind. Batman, honestly man, you’re slacking. Red Arrow is the mole, which is a big surprise to him as much as the waters.

Just when things could not get any worse, Vandal Savage walks onto the Watchtower and so we begin the true plan for the Light, with the entire Justice League under their control.

This was an amazing episode and hopefully sets up an amazing finale. 9.5/10 for this episode, with the half of point being knocked off due to that one little bit with Batman. Next week, we’re going to have something epic. You can watch Young Justice Episode 25 Usual Suspects if you have Cartoon Network On Demand and as always new episodes of Young Justice will air on Cartoon Network at 10:30 AM Eastern Time
