Talent is a special, unusual and natural ability or skill to do something well. Talented person is a person of exceptional aptitude and a considerable genius, having an obvious elegance or knack to accomplish a particular task. Talented person is a possessor of positive characteristics. Without difficulty and swiftly he can learn from the situations or from the environment and succeed in his goals quicker than the one who is not. The more he has talents, the greater will be his achievements. It is the talent that paves you the way illumining for a while the all enveloping darkness while leading you towards your goal achievement. Nonetheless, this quality may be prolific and rewarding if you determine your strength with your goals while developing your abilities.

Being talented only does not assure a specific outcome or make success certain, but the need is to develop other qualities as well, such as, having determination, commitment, enthusiasm and making every possible effort towards the direction of your goals. Being committed to your purpose is to enliven your aspirations and make your dreams interesting. Some people dream and sleep through their dreams soundly but those committed to their goals are such dreamers that their dreams are awakening and leading them towards the fulfillment of their ambitions. Above and beyond, to wish a thing is easier than its achievement. It is just a flight of the imagination- In that there is no involvement of earthily realities – it is devoid of actual requirements and practical aspect. But then again, there must be consideration of all relevant factors, to put sufficient efforts in order to achieve your goals.

Mention deserves to be made about the availability of opportunities allowing you to develop your abilities. They are of much value and significance. Indeed, every era is endowed with talented people but few could surpass their boundaries because the dilemma of lack of opportunities has intervened in their way of success. The crushing upshot, the painful results of lack of opportunities is revealed in these verses of famous English Poet, “Thomas Gray”.

“Full many a gem of purest ray serene
The dark unfathomed caves of ocean bear:
Full many a flower is born to blush unseen
And waste its sweetness on the desert air.”

Individuals whose abilities have remained undeveloped have been compared to exquisite gems lying unknown at the bottom of the sea and to lovely and sweet-smelling flowers that bloom in the wilderness. Their talents would, of course, have developed and they would have certainly been successful in their abilities had they had opportunities. What may, therefore, be construed is the need of favorable opportunities that the capabilities of individuals may have occasion to blossom.

Indeed, every human being has talents, what is needed is the talent should be made conspicuous and abilities should be developed. A person who discovers his talents can succeed by determining his strength and ability with his goals and the one who fails to do so cannot. Discovering the talents is treading towards the path of success and being disinclined to do it is to deprive of success. Another important aspect is the development of abilities based on the assessment of existing strength and weakness so that one can achieve his goals on the basis of his developed abilities. We must know the fact that a gem also needs to be carved and polished for use as jewelry and decoration. Once a person discovers his potential and develops his ability, there is no looking back. He will find his own ways and means. Thus, discover your talents, realize your strength and release your potentials and meet the opportunities, showing appreciation to such concept that allows you to develop your skills in the work place as its redeeming factor is to provide opportunities to the right people, at the right time, at the right place.

There is no denying the fact that success or failure of a business pivots on the quality as well as the extent of relationship it preserves with its people. In view of the above, talent management is implemented so that the talents of the employees may be retained, their latent abilities be enhanced, while giving a boost to the business. It also refers to the process of developing and integrating new workers, developing and retaining current workers, and attracting highly skilled workers to work for the organization. Talent management is a process of developing and nurturing the talents of the employees founded on their skills and knowledge while constantly building their organizational competencies.

The fact, that why talent management is undertaken is, of course, to have two-fold effect. It is through the process of talent management that an organization can be benefited from developing and retaining the employees and it benefits the employees while developing their skills so that they can meet their goals. Besides, the organization can save a great deal of money by not only retaining the talents of the employees but also increasing their performance while implementing performance management process. By doing so, production and efficiencies tend to be increased and the employees will get satisfaction. This is how the concept of talent management has a good cause for the total organizational development.

Let us conclude this account of the merits and the redeeming features of talent management with its excellent pursuit in terms of the employees’ as well as the organizational growth. It attracts and recruits qualified candidates while implementing training and development programs for the employees allowing them to achieve their full potentials. As regards organization, it processes performance management so as to develop the competencies of the employees and to enhance the effectiveness and efficiencies in the overall organizational performance. Thus, talent management works hand in hand for the total organizational development. Indeed, the scopes underlying the concept of talent management can lead an organization to the acme of success sanguinely if such a thought is established that every individual has talents and the talents must be developed- the boundaries being unshackled by favorable opportunities.

I have learnt a lot about managing talent with the new training easy saver program I recently started. You have some great advice here. Organizations can really change their level of output by paying more attention to the talents of each individual and applying them to the correct areas.

desert needs to to be recognized as a value. it is not about oil only. many desert guys are trapped in this new world.
