WWF Attitude Era Series Part 104: WWF RAW is WAR 1/25/99

On WCW Nitro 1/25/99

A six man tag team match featured Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, and Hollywood Hogan battled Chris Benoit, Steve McMichel, and Ric Flair to a no contest. Plus Goldberg defeated Scott Norton and Booker T defeated Bret Hart via disqualification. Plus, Bret Hart asked the eternal question that will live on in wrestling infamy, who are you to doubt El Dandy?

WWF RAW is WAR 1/25/99

Mr. McMahon is out, to reward the Rock the bounty for his help in eliminating Stone Cold Steve Austin. Also he gives up the title shot. Up pops Shawn Michaels, who announces that since McMahon doesn't want the title shot, it goes to the runner up, as per the WWE Rulebook. Therefore Austin gets the title shot. Austin agrees to put the title shot on the line, for a piece of Mr. McMahon and it will be a steel cage match in three weeks at St. Valentine's Massacre.

Here comes the armored truck containing the Rock's money.

Triple H expresses doubts that Mankind gave up and he throws out a challenge, to face the Rock in an I Quit Match.

Billy Gunn defeated Goldust

The Blue Meanie comes out, interferes as Bluedust and gets Head back from Goldust for Al Snow. Billy Gunn manages to get the distraction and get the win.

The Rock accepts the challenge and Mankind shows up to steal the Rock's money, holding it hostage. A match is made, for Halftime of the Super Bowl, an Empty Arena Match, as Mankind reveals that the Rock used a recording from the preshow interview on Heat that Shane got. So the Empty Arena Match is set up.

Droz defeated George Steele

Droz slams Steele into the turnbuckle exposed that he ate and scores the pin.

Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco give Ken Shamrock and Big Bossman salt peter, so they don't get distracted by Debra.

Mark Henry puts the moves on Debra.

Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett defeated Ken Shamrock and Big Bossman to win the WWF Tag Team Titles

Fairly good tag team match, with the salt peter working wonders, as Debra strips more and more. That is not working, so the Blue Blazer, who is a black man this week, runs in and nails Shamrock with a guitar. Likely Koko B. Ware under the mask or at least I have assumed. In this, Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart score the pin and we have new WWF Tag Team Champions.

Shane McMahon is out, to humble Kane and make him apologize. X-Pac comes out, in an attempt to recruit Kane to DX and then Kane turns and beats the ever living snot out of X-Pac, on the orders of Shane. Shane McMahon then gives X-Pac a Bronco Buster, giving him retribution for when X-Pac did the same to him a few weeks ago.

D'Lo Brown buys Female Hygiene Products for Terri Runnels. I can't believe I just wrote that sentence.

Val Venis presents a new film, with his latest conquest, Ken Shamrock's sister, entitled, Saving Ryan's Privates.

Test defeated Val Venis

Shamrock gets revenge and lays out Val Venis. Then Test and Shamrock beat up Val Venis and Billy Gunn makes the save. Then Billy Gunn and Val Venis go nose to nose. Nine million things happening in this segment, must be Russo.

Al Snow and Road Dogg defeated Gangrel and Edge

Good Hardcore style tag team match, with all four of them battling each other throughout this match. Bluedust shows up to give Al Snow Head, and Al Snow uses Head. crashing through the table and the Brood crashes through tables and Snow and Road Dogg score the win in this Hardcore Tag Team Match.

Al Snow and Road Dogg are attacked by the Acolytes as a Hardcore Title Match is set up. Undertaker shows up and promises doom and gloom.

The Rock retained the WWF Championship against Triple H in an I Quit Match.

Usual at least decent match, with the Corporation getting involved and Kane has his hands on Chyna. Kane threatens a Choke Slam on Chyna and Triple H has no choice but to quit. Chyna is let go and the Rock wins, with Triple H getting nailed right in the groin, for Chyna to turn heel and join the Corporation. Swerve!

Triple H is beaten down as the Corporation poses with their newest member.

The Rock and Mankind do battle in an Empty Arena during halftime at the 1999 Super Bowl on Halftime Heat. That is Part 105 of the WWF Attitude Era Series.
