I have been a member of Wikinut for nearly twelve months now, successfully published 19 articles, obtained multipul referrals and received well over 10,000 views.  And what exactly do I have to show for my efforts on Wikinut, 50p yes that's right I have earned the grand total of 50p for over 10,000 views.  What makes this even worse is that in order to receive a payout from Wikinut you need to have earned £2.50, at my current rate I will need to have obtained over 50,000 views to make £2.50.

Yes Wikinut has a very high google ranking so your articles will appear high in the search ranking but seeing as you need over 50,000 views to actually stand a chance of receiving a payment the chances of you ever getting any serious return for your efforts on Wikinut is extremely low.

I am also a member of Experts Column and Triond, which like Wikinut gives writers a platform from which they can share their work with others via the Internet.  However with both Experts Column and Triond I am currently earning around $1 for every 1,000 hits.  The comparison of 5p per 1,000 views on Wikinut against $1 per 1,000 views on both Experts Column and Triond just shows how much of a scam Wikinut actually is.

Plus once you join wikinut, there is no way of deleting your account or any of your articles, therefore removing any control you have over your own work, once it has been published.

All these reason mean that wikinut is a site that I would not recommend to those looking to make money from writing online, but if you are looking to reach a bigger readership it may well be for you.

If you are interested in earning some extra money writing online your best bet is to join Experts Column and Triond as they allow you post your work on both sites and that way you will get a very good level of views and a decent return for your efforts.  Join up using the following links and I will help you get started, and support you along the way.

I know several people who write for Wikinut and they get a small amount of passive income from it. Wikinut articles may show up well in Google results but the low amount of money shared with the writers does not make it look worth writing for.

No-one will get rich from revenue sharing sites but I am happy to write for Expertscolumn, and another site where I have many articles. Together these can provide me with a reasonable amount of long term passive income.

You are so right Ruth revenue sites won make you mega books but they will generate a nice little passive income to help pay for a few little treats or even help with some of the bills.

I also find that writing on the Internet is a great hobby for reducing stress and I have also made some really good friends over the years :-)

Good to read the comparisons. i did write at triond for a brief period and it was a nice experience. But somehow, gave it up soon. Now I am here and somehow yet to master the art of writing at multiple sites. However tips people share help. I shld use them soon enough. :)

Expertscolumn is a great place to learn and grow as a writer :-)

wikinut is not bad comperaing to triond, they are not paying memebers I requested my payment a month ago, nothing from them and not even answering emails, they do not pay. They may pay some members to write some good news about the site, but they do not really pay for members, that is a shame now stoped writing for them and will never write again and waste time in there. wikinut is not bad

Triond is a dead website sadly, the owners have given up completely which is a real shame a it used to be a very good site.

As for wikinut, I have no idea if they pay there members as after two years and over twenty thousand views I am still over 60p short of the £2.50 redemption limit. Add to this the fact that once your articles are posted there you can not remove them :-( Wikinut in my eyes is not at all a good site and best avoided.

Good Share

Thank you Gowtham :)

My wikinut progress is still painfully slow. As of today I have achieved 17,072 views which has earned my just £1.60, which still leaves me another £0.90 before I will receive my first payout.

I'm still getting a decent stream of views on wikinut, but it's generating virtually no income :(

Following an extremely rare spike in earnings I am now up to £1.47 from 16194 views and 31 referrals in 18 months. Perhaps I will hit the £2.50 payout one day :)

Very interesting article and comments regarding wikinut. It looks like wikinut is very hard to earn any money on and prohaps worst of all their support is no existant, based on all these comments i for one will be giving wikinut a miss.

Thank you for reading and taking the time to leave a comment, yes based on my experience wikinut is a lot of hard work which doe not give you much of a return. One thing I will say is what I write is based on my experience on wikinut, im just putting it out there so others know what the site is like from a members point of view.

I pop in every now and again to see if I am earning anything exciting but to earnings go up so slowly. Expertscolumn is definitely the best site i have been a member of.

Dear Paul, Thanks a lot for the info. Could you tell me how expertscolumn pays- through paypal or by cheque?

Xavier

Hi Xavier,

Really sorry for the delayed reply I've been away for a few weeks. Expertscolumn pays it's members via paypal :)

Hope this helps

Paul
