Wicked words
Softly slither
Beckoning
My love, come hither
Clinging vowels
And liquid phrases
Sliding into
Private places
Lips caressing
Every sound
Kindling
Desire profound
Banking up
An aching need
Teasing you
Until you plead
For lips to leave
The words behind
To join in kissing
Tongues entwined
For fingers frenzied
Bodies heaving
Souls with passion
Interleaving
Expressing now
In concrete form
The feelings roused
To perfect storm
By words that promise
Words that tease
By wicked words
Designed to please

Author’s note: I hope that you enjoyed this little poem and weren’t offended. That certainly wasn’t my intention. What I wanted to show was how, without resorting to the crudely anatomical, one can write verse that is teasing and erotic. I’d like to think I succeeded, but I guess that is up to you, the reader.
Two less raunchy and more romantic poems of mine can be found here:
Everything is You – a short verse about how, when in love, one’s thoughts keep turning towards one’s partner even when apart
You Punctuate my Day – how the progress of my day is marked by my beloved

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Very good. Thanks for share
Glad you enjoyed it!
The poem is fine Bruce. No explanation needed. No one who understands poetry should be offended by it. It's not provocative and even a "provocative" one would as you know have its audience. I liked it. Thanks for the share. It is a nice sensual piece
Part of the reason for the lengthy explanation is to bump the word count up to the minimum of 200 required for Expertscolumn to accept it! :-)
I enjoyed the poem. Is it a 200 word minimum? It says 300.
I was just going by what I remember. You're probably right. Brain cells decaying with age.
I like this one, I should have some of my poetry up soon. Excited to share it with this audience.
Cheers,
Derek
