Why Do We Really Celebrate 4th of July?

Do you want to know what’s annoying about Fourth of July?
People use Fourth of July for getting money, starting new trends, and more. No one now a days really celebrate it for its original purpose.
I have asked several people and their thoughts were:
“To hang out with family and friends,”
“Let off fireworks,” and
“To celebrate the declaration of Independence.”
Today some people don’t even know why we celebrate Fourth of July. We really didn’t learn it in Middle School, at all. I had to learn why we have Fourth of July in I think Second grade. And to be honest I forgot why we had Fourth of July. I had to actually Google and ask my parents.
Stores make Fourth of July seem like something that doesn’t matter as long as they make money.
My question is, why do we use fireworks for Fourth of July? I had to Google that and my answer was something like this:

So the Chinese brought Fireworks, I still don’t really get why we use Fireworks. Now a days we use Fireworks for a lot more than Fourth of July. Like at Baseball Stadiums.
