Who are the toughest contenders of 100 meter sprint in the London Olympics? Usain Bolt vs Yohan Blake

Most of the people who are thinking that Usain bolt is going to rule this London Olympic like the way he ruled in the Beijing Olympic. However thinks has changed by now and there are new favorite who can beat Usain Bolt. Who are these New contenders? Can they really beat Usain Bolt? In this column I am going to talk all about them.

Tyson gay has been the toughest opponent so far. However many injury problems did not allow him to show his true potential against Bolt. This is his final chance to get a medal in the Olympics. Surprisingly Justin Gatlin the former Olympic champion has return after serving a ban for doping. Justin Gatlin has improved a lot and could defeat Usain Bolt if he can run at his best.

However the toughest opponent of Usain Bolt is his fellow Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake. Yohan blake is the current world champion of 100m and 200m. He ran the fastest 100 meter this year and also has the incredible timing of 19.26 in the 200 meter. His 200 meter timing is the 2nd fastest timing in the world after Usain bolt’s world record. According to my point of view only Yohan blake is capable to break the record of Usain Bolt.

Olympic trial analysis:

In 100 meter Us trial, Justin Gatlin ran the fastest time in the US and 2nd fastest time in the world. Surprisingly he defeated Tyson gay by running 100 meter in 9.80 seconds. However Tyson gays was happy to qualify for Olympic by running 9.86. It seems Tyson is saving his energy for the final showdown.

In the 100 meter Jamaican Olympics trial, Yohan blake ran the fastest time in the world and defeated both Usain Bolt and Asafa Powel. Yohan blake ran 100 meter in 9.75 seconds which is his personal best as well. Usain bolt looked very relax while running as usual. He ran 100 meter in 9.86 which is also slower than Justin Gatlin.

2) Justin Gatlin 9.80 (personal best)
3) Usain bolt and Tyson gay 9.86 (not their personal best, you know what I mean?)

So from the all above circumstances it seem this Olympics going to give us the best 100 meter ever. The best 100 meter athlete of the history is going to participate in the event. I am just waiting to watch it. I am voting for Yohan Blake!
