There is a major diplomatic situation between Ecudor and Great Britian. An event which will have momentous consequences all over the world.
Someone has taken refuge in the Ecudorian Embassy, and England threatens to ignore all forms of diplomatic rules to go into that Embassy, (which is supposed to be under the soverignity of Ecudor) to take that Someone out.
Is that Someone a War criminal who murdered hundreds? Who used poison gas on his own people? Is that someone a well known terrorist responsible for killing thousands? Someone so dangerous, so evil, that one nation is willing to destroy principles which have stood for hundreds of years?
No.
That Someone is Julian Assange, who has been accused of continuing to have sexual intercourse with a woman who has changed her mind mid-coitus.
That is the offense the Swedish police want to discuss with him. This is not a crime in London. A woman can not withdraw consent during sex. Once she consents and sex begins, she can not charge a man for not withdrawing.
This offense is not an offense in 99.999% of all countries in the world.
There are two Swedish females who are willing to give statements against Assange to the effect that he continued to have sex with them after they told him to stop.
It is unprecendent that a country extradite another for what does not constitute an offense in the host country. It is unprecedented that where a country grants asylum to another that the host country threaten tresspass to seize that asylum seeker.
China did not break the American Embassy when various dissidents over the years have sought asylum. They are no doubt anxiously watching England's next move. because they too can storm an Embassy.
The reason, as we all know, is that Assange is the creator of Wikileaks and America wants to put him in prison forever, (or he can accidentaly die in custody).
The whole world knows that Sweden is no more than a puppet of the United States, (although they had kept this fairly secret) and that the two females were the easiest and cheapest complainants to purchase.
We all know that if England does not allow Assange to go to Ecudor, storms the Embassy or in any way shape or form arrests him, Liberty will suffer a sever body blow, and no Embassy anywhere in the world will be able to offer sanctuary to anyone.

If a man is having sex with a women and she changes her mind, if he does not stop, that is rape under UK law and probably most other countries laws too.
The view that "a woman cannot withdraw consent during sex" - is nonsense and troubling to hear. Stop means stop!
I was reliably informed that such is NOT the law in England.
The diplomatic dispute is actually between the governments of Ecuador and the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland (UK), of which ENGLAND, like Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, is only a constituent part. You're also being economical with the truth regarding the charges brought against Assange. In the UK, and in most countries in the world, non-consensual sex is considered rape. The woman was asleep when the alleged offence(s) occurred, so she could not possibly have given her consent freely. The fact that she gave her consent earlier doesn't mean that she had waived her right to say no, for whatever reason, headache, hangover or simply a lack of horniness! To even suggest such a thing is wholly objectionable and more than a little sexist. Lastly, Sweden, as you absurdly put it, is no puppet of the USA. Like the UK it's an ancient sovereign European nation that has its own laws to uphold. Tinpot demagogues like Correa, Chávez and the Harpy of Buenos Aires are in no position whatsoever to cast doubt on the democratic fibre of the Swedish government and nation. Rafael Correa is evidently a publicity whore, like his 'bolivariano' brother in Caracas. It's amazing that the people of Ecuador and Venezuela can't see them for what they are.
The UK has already retracted, and says it will NOT storm the Embassy, the fact that the Swedes WILL extradite Assange to the United States to stand trial for an offense which carries life imprisonment or death.
