All businesses need adapt to the ever-growing influx of cultural identities that influence not only businesses worldwide but the proposition of a society that is also ever forward thinking. Adaptability is forever important to the excelling and growing of a stable business on a managerial and executive level for the balance of a company to feel not only secure, but also safe and appreciated.

Top management officials down need actively participate in communicating information from top to bottom and sideways to function. Every member's concern in an organization is more than ever important to the success of a business. A long-lasting company will have the elements of being like one mind.
Since change is unavoidable, informing and being informed of tasks that are paramount to be productive and efficient for all the workings of an organization's plans to be fulfilled must be dictated in ways that benefit all involved. OD is a collection of theories, principles, and strategies for managing change at the individual, group, intergroup, organizational, and inter-organizational levels (Rothwell & Sullivan, 2005). Organizations cannot stay viable without initiating, confronting and or giving rise to changes needed. To keep business constructive and productive, organizational development must be planned strategically in the 21st century as a department literally unto itself, daily.
