Honey is found in abundance in natural habitat around the world and is as old as written history dating back to 2100 B. C. where it was mentioned in Sumerian and Babylonian cuneiform writings, the Hittite code, and the sacred writings of India and Egypt. It is presumed to be even older than that. Honey was the first and most widespread sweetener used by mankind. Honey was highly valued product and often used as a form of currency, tribute, or offering. In the 11th century A.D., German peasants paid their feudal lords in honey and beeswax.
Honey contains traces of protein, riboflavin (vitamin B2), niacin (vitamin B3), pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5), vitamin B6, folate (vitamin B9), vitamin C, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium and zinc. It also contains antioxidants some found only in honey which include pinobanksin, chrysin, catalase and pinocembrin.
When these two products are combined in a prescribed quantity they help in weight loss. Following instructions should be followed while preparing hone and cinnamon recipe for weight loss. First of all dissolve half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder (or ground cinnamon, if powder is not available) in a cup of boiling water. Then stir well and cover for half an hour. After this filter away any big particles and add a teaspoon of honey. Again stir so that honey is completely dissolved. Take this liquid in the morning with an empty stomach preferably half an hour before breakfast. It can also be taken just before sleeping at night. Please use for a few weeks to observe results as this is not a magic pill and works only when taken for a few weeks.
One important tip to note is that honey should be added after around half an hour of the mixing the cinnamon and boiling water, since by then the water shall have cooled down and the healthier enzymes in the honey remain alive.
