Most people cannot help but wonder if the marriage of Kate and William would end up like that of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. It began like a marriage made in heaven but the end results were not good.
It is reported that over 2 billion people worldwide watched the Royal wedding of Kate and William live either on television or on the internet, making it the most watched wedding in history. The viewership and hype that surrounded this Royal wedding even surpassed that of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s in 1981.

Exactly thirty years ago it started like a marriage made and arranged in heaven, but who would have ever thought that down the line it was going to end in disaster. I’m talking about the marriage between Princess Diana and Prince Charles. The marriage ended in pure disaster and even indirectly claimed the life of Princess Diana.
The wedding between Charles and Diana was at that time the greatest event of the decade just like it is the same with Kate and William’s.
That year, beneath the famous Buckingham Palace balcony, thousands of well-wishers gathered and cheered the royal couple Diana and Charles as they kissed each other passionately. Everyone said in their hearts, “Now this is a marriage blessed by God” hardly knowing that the end results would be disastrous.

Today a similar event has occurred between two people who seem to be so in love with each other – one a commoner and the other a Prince.
Beneath the famous Buckingham Palace balcony again these two people were cheered on by thousands of well-wishers as they had their first public kiss. Everybody who watched them thought to themselves that this is surely a marriage by two people who are definitely in love.
One cannot help but hope that the past does not repeat itself in the lives of this young and happy couple.
One of the most beautiful moments at the Royal wedding was when Prince William and his new bride The Duchess of Cambridge stood on the decorated Palace balcony and kissed passionately while the crowd cheered below in utter excitement – this moment to me remains one of the most defining images of their wedding day.
Let us all wish them nothing but the best of luck on this road they have ventured together.
