You’re sick….. go to the doctor.
It seems that nearly everyone on this planet has some sort of medical problem. Whether it be itchy-dry skin to full out schizophrenia, medical ailments are prevalent in all of our lives. Obviously, these individuals want to find a cure for whatever their ailment is. Our society tells us when you have something wrong with you to go see a doctor. Now, this seems like a valid response to these types of situations…
What if I told you that a large majority of medical ailments can be prevented, managed, and even CURED by the simple daily ingestion of vital vitamins and nutrients. You’d tell me,
“Yeah… Yeah… Yeah… I’ve heard all about the WONDER CURES and all that hype about nutrition.”
Let’s think about this: as diseases and mental illnesses are on the rise, we have to put the blame on something. There is a strong correlation between the decline in American nutritional intake and medical ailments. Magnesium is one of the most common deficiencies among Americans (as many as 8 out of 10 individuals are deficient!) according to a website called Advanced Healing.
Some of the common symptoms of magnesium deficiency are:
• Heart Attack
I find it kind of disconcerting that anxiety and ADD medications are among the MOST PRESCRIBED drugs. This does not go to say that the individuals being treated for these conditions are deficient in magnesium, but the correlation between magnesium deficiency and these such conditions on the rise is astounding!
Vitamin B3 (Niacin)
Vitamin B3, also called Niacin, is a very underestimated nutrient. I personally have used Niacin in capsule form as a hangover cure with great results. It works by increasing blood flow to your entire body and thus detoxifying the nastiness that was left behind from your nightly escapades. They call this the “Niacin Flush” and though fairly uncomfortable (it feels like you have sunburn all over your body) that’s how you can tell its working!
It has much potential and is overlooked by many a doctor or physician. In a study done by Dr. Hoffer in 1952 involving schizophrenic patients, he administered regular large doses of Niacin with hugely successful results! Some of his patients even claimed to be cured of nearly all of their schizophrenic symptoms. You can read more about it here!
You are what you eat!
These are just two nutrients I have personally researched. Diet is soooo important to your physical and mental health. I’m not saying to throw out your prescriptions and hurry to your nearest health food store. I’m merely saying give this some thought! Our bodies only manufacture a very small percentage of what we need to function on a day to day basis. The rest we get from our diet! This really gives the saying “you are what you eat” a whole new meaning!
