Sunny Sundridge is a great little vacation spot in Ontario Canada.
Located between the town of Huntsville in Muskoka and the City of North Bay.

The name of the town was meant to be Sunny Ridge but due to a Postal error was never changed.
Sundridge is built on the shores of Lake Bernard, and boasts being in the world Book of Guinness as the only freshwater Lake without an island. Even though there are about a thousand full time residents this amount increases dramatically at vacation times. Tourists and cottagers visit in the summer to swim,canoe, golf or to attend One of their special events. This includes; the July First Celebrations with a parade and great activities and local merchants at the Lions Park. By the Sundridge Village beach. In August there is a Sunflower Festival and a triathlon that is visited by people from around the world. For a small town it has quite a variety of restaurants that are opened all year round.
In the winter many people come for snowmobiling, ice fishing, cross-country skiing on the lake and evendog sledding. There is also hockey and skating at the local arena. In December there is a tree lighting ceremony which includes carol singing at the lighted tree, a Santa Claus Parade,and free refreshments at the public school where your children can visit with Santa. In the summer when walking down Main Street you will notice the beautiful flowers there and at the town parks including a children's garden, all these are provided by the Sundridge Horticultural Society.
Sundridge is close to many hiking trails and two Provincial parks including Algonquin Provincial Park.
There are plenty of opportunities for camping,hiking and canoeing. The scenary is breath taking andthere are things to explore in the area like the High Rock Look Out which has a vast view of Lake Bernard and hiking trails. There are many interesting little stores in the area. If you would like to shop Place Mall, in Muskoka, and a variety of other stores. Huntsville was host to the G 8 Summit in 2010.
There are great accomodations near by. Why not visit Sundridge on your next vacation for a truly unique experience. You will find it a great place to explore and relax.
