Virginity is basically related to women and girls and it generally does not relate to a man, though a man may also be a virgin. In classical language and meaning virginity relates to a membrane in a girls vagina, that is perforated after a first time intercourse. Though in an active and atheletic girl this membrane may be prforated on its own, but still a girl would be classified as a virgin in case she has never had intercourse.

All religions and sects all over the world prize virginity.Thus the fact that Mary was a virgin when she concieved is another belief that raises virginity to the level of Godliness. Virgins are thus greatly prized and it was not uncommon for a girl to go through a virginty test, before she was accepted into the harem of a Nawab or Caliph in the Middle east and India. Islam in particular lays great stress on virginity and a woman having sex befoer marriage is accursed and punished.

Virginity is also greatly prized in Christianity and Hinduism. Pages and pages are written by poets and story tellers of men seducing virgins. For a man having sex and overpowering a virgin is the ultimate hidden fetish, that is universal all over the world. In fact many tales are woven around sex with virgins.The blood that emanates from a first time intercourse is thought to be sacred and a cure for many illnesses and diseases. Though there is no scientific evidence to back such beliefs , yet they persist and gullible men believe in them.

In real terms a girl knowns that her virginty is her most prized item.This her biggest gift to a man. But men are not that emotional and are apt to try and seduce any number of virgins. Some of them are egged on by quacks and charaltans who promise that all their problems will be solved in case they sleep with a virgin.A lot many quick fixers will cycle a girl any number of times as virgin to appease such men, who are easily taken in by such shams.
