Veteran Writers Begin To Tail Back Entries

If you have been writing for this website for over a couple of months, you know that you used to be able to get hundreds of views a day on your columns by using promotion sources such as Reddit, Digg, StumbleUpon (my main squeeze), and personal blogs. The Expertscolumn executives have now limited our promotion to Twitter (still usable), Facebook (not useful unless you have a following), and Google+ (yeah I have one/don't know how to use it). I am not going to spend this entire article bombarding promotion policies again because anyone, who reads my work, knows that I do not like to repeat myself. I am going to focus on the questions on many writers' minds: why is this happening? What is the point? Is there a reason? Is the website having monetary issues? If there is a problem and a valid reason why our views are being slashed into 1/10 of what they were, then please tell us. We writers are usually quite understanding. However, as self-employed workers, we also need to make money and right now, the steady $.10 a day I am getting will not be enough to put a mesely piece of bread on the table.

Now, I am not complaining. I am simply stating the facts. Most veteran writers are tailing back their entries to once a day such as myself, hoping things will get better. Others, once a week. Some have just completely stopped. There were many people who came to the website to simply see a specific writer's articles, but now new compositions cannot be found. When I now look at the front page of our dear Expertscolumn, I see a bunch of new writers I have never seen before. None of the writers, I am used to seeing, have been on the website lately.

The writers I see are ones that have over 400 articles, in which the new policies do not effect as much because of the fact they still get many views a day from sheer quantity, and new writers who just do not know any better. For writers like me, who have built up their databases to close to 200 articles in the last 3.5 months, this is hitting home. Most people in the middle of the pack have just stopped completely, knowing it will be difficult to find the motivation to complete another 200 articles with little compensation and in such a short time. Expertscolumn, I have been your biggest supporter. What happened?
