My First Love, High School

When time was young
there was you and me,
I was yours, you were
mine, as it had all seemed,
as a magnet would work
when poles apart, as me
loving you and you not
liking me.

There was grace, there
was pride. There was kindness,
there was none. There was hope,
there was angst : you were so near,
yet so far away: Always, there was God;
then again there would be none, when
you were that far. But always I would
see you, Marichu. And that would seem
enough...till, one day, all would disappear
with the sunset

My First Love, At Work

You never have, never, seen my
stormy seas when my youth, under
your spell, was deep in the serenity
and turmoil of what I hid from you,
equally as I showed the best I could
of what was completely possible, if
only you, at least, lent an ear. Yet,
again not till later, time overwhelmed
and overtook tomorrow, that distant,
past I knew was then the present.

You should know your delight
in hearing, sending my love
as I felt I should countless
times and in seemingly
infinite ways before.
Now, in reverse, like ticks,
chimes of grandfather clock,
when we recall times past, as
I do, genuine love, oh Annie, my
first love you knew so well intense.

K as in knight me for the faint-
glow shadows of yesteryears,
my First Loves! And thank you
for the memories!

The Charm Of Rudolph Valentino

Come see me, dearest, unclothed
where the seas move and crawl,
where the grass is green, and the
sky, so blue; so lush are the forest,
verdant and pristine are the trees,
ideal for our nest.

We, together, will see the stallions
in the sky, feathered beasts as only
you will look up with as tender delight
as you'll hear the brooks below which
murmur or echo eternity.

Ah, the glades, for sure, the clearings,
there aren't like you and me, as much
alone as poetry has ever prepared for
us, are there? Only pure paradise!

You will look into my eyes and see the
rainbows, glance closer and find the
waterfalls that await your tomorrows,
yet at the moment feel me at standstill,
like at Springtime, you won't lose my
grip around your naked eyes.

Speak in metaphors, so I'll understand
you, for only in figures of speech such
signs, our souls do comprehend, as
crystals often dispenses with words to
align themselves with the stars, shining
and bright.

So look again into my eyes, see me my
snowfall beneath, my autumn and my
summer; yeah, how my eyelids flicker
to entice you into romance that'll never
end, a love that mystifies!
