Some claim that it was Al-Ahli supporters who were disappointed after watching their favorite football club defeated by underdog team, Al-Masry. Overall, we should sorry for this kind of humankind tragedy.

We have to pay attention much to this issue. Especially, the issue regarding to the tragedy on football that involves the football club supporters. Some great accidents have been occurred and claimed many souls. We can say that it is due to the immature of one football club supporters. For instance, the local fanaticism that frequently leads to the conflict. If one city has recognized its opponent, they will also regard them as enemy. Thus in any circumstance involving both cities in a sports match, in this case is football, a conflict is invulnerable.

The principle of fairness in sports must be held tightly by those involved in the sports; supporters, players, referees, committees, so on. We surely do not want many more soul claimed due to the ignorance of one party in this case. Egyptian football tragedy reminds us to always keep the principle of fairness in our mind. The dark desire of “beating others” must be left behind. Sport is not always about win and lose; instead, it is also about fairness.

The management of the football club should also take a responsible for the behavior of their supporters. They should be able to control them and drive their desire to the more positive things. Supporting a sport team can be done as creative as possible without using violence, racism, and hatred. It is the time for the world to double think about the creativity in supporting a sport team and put aside any hatred and local fanaticism. We really sorry for this tragedy and strongly hope this will not happen again. Thank you for reading.
