Top 5 German Goalscorers
FIFA World Cup or World Cup is an international tournaments that take place between national teams of the countries under the FIFA association which being held every four years since1930 except for 1942 and 1946 when the tournament did not held because of the Second World War, through 19 tournaments only 8 countries have won the cup which are Brazil 5 times, Italy 4 times, Germany 3 times, Argentina and Uruguay each 2 times and England, France and Spain each 1 time.
When National Players play for the national teams it differs than them playing for their clubs as their own statics and glory doesn't matter anymore and what matters is the National team wins and this is exactly why I do prefer Klose over Gomez playing as a forwarder with the national team as Klose will not only score goals but will make them as well for his own and his team colleges, therefore Klose has the best statics in Germany as he is the top goalscorer for Germany in all FIFA World Cups and the second worldwide after Ronaldo, he is the fourth in most played matches in all FIFA World Cups, he is the second top goalscorers for Germany in all matches and he is third German top goalscorers in UEFA.
Below is a list of the German top 5 goalscorers in the FIFA World Cup finals only and doesn't count the goals scored in the FIFA World Cup Qualification Phase.
1. Miroslav Klose - 14
Scored 14 goals in the 19 matches he played in all FIFA world cup tournaments, Klose have a small chance to play in the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2014 as he is 33 years old now. he is now only about 2 goals to be all time FIFA World Cup Goalscorers (Ronaldo scored 15 goals).
2. Gerd Mueller- 13
Scored 13 goals in the 13 matches he played in all FIFA world cup tournaments, Mueller is a retired player.
3. Juergen Klinsmann - 11
Scored 11 goals in the 17 matches he played in all FIFA world cup tournaments, Klinsmann is a retired player.
4. Helmut Rahn - 10
Scored 10 goals in the 10 matches he played in all FIFA world cup tournaments, Rahm is a retired player.
5. Karl Heinz Rummenigge and Uwe Seeler- 9
Rummenigge Scored 9 goals in the 15 matches he played in all FIFA world cup tournaments while Seeler scored 9 goals in 21 Matches, both players are retired players.
This list is updated till 7 Nov 2011 and can change at any time therefore needs continuous update specially that both Lokas Podolski who scored 5 goals during 13 matches and Thomas Mueller who scored 5 goals during 6 matches are still young 26 and 22 years old respectively, Podolski has a chance to play in the next FIFA World Cup 2014 and who knows maybe 2018 as well, While Mueller could play the three upcoming FIFA World Cup tournaments so both still have chances to play for the national team and score more to enter the list. Maybe with the current improvement for Mueller he will be not only the top German Goalscorers but also the top goalscorers in All FIFA World Cups.
