Our heart needs to be taken care of constantly in order to work properly and to maintain our health. The least we can do is provide it with healthy food as possible as we can. Let’s find out which are some of the best nutrients we can give it.

6. Nuts. Almonds, walnuts and macadamia (an Australian walnut) are full of heart-beneficial Omega-3 fatty acids and natural fats. These nuts must be consumed raw and in moderate amounts.
7. Spinach. Spinach is rich in lutein (a naturally-occurring carotenoid, found in green leafy vegetables. Lutein is employed by organisms as an antioxidant and for blue light absorption), potassium and iron. It helps us maintain our body in superb shape.
8. Legumes. Lentils and beans are sources of Omega-3 acids, calcium and fiber. Consuming legumes is recommended to occur at least once in a week.
