Computer is beneficial for our work but excessive use of it creates so many health problems. We are too much dependent on computers so we defiantly need to know the right way of its usage. Here are some valuable tips for computer usage.
Tip 1: Cramping and pain in neck, shoulder and wrist and legs are the main problems caused by computer usage. To avoid these problems, take breaks and do stretching and rotate your neck clockwise and counterclockwise.
Tip 2: Walk at regular intervals and take time for small snacks in between long hours of work. This will make you feel fresh and relives you from backache.
Tip 3: Right posture is very necessary while working on computers. Most of the health problems arise due to wrong posture. Maintain the proper distance from computer, level of your computer with eyes and your arm should be at rest while typing. Look for right posture in articles and try to follow that. Your feet should reach to the ground while sitting in front of computer and if not please use footrest.Wear splints while you work to keep your wrists from bending too high or low, and use a keyboard tray or adjust your chair so the keyboard and mouse are below your elbows and your wrists are level.
Tip 4: Sometimes working on computer must be very fascinating and time taking. Do not skip your meal and take small snacks in between to avoid fatigue. Try to walk for few minutes after your meal; it can increase your metabolic rate.
Tip 5: Headache and strain to eyes are some of the major drawbacks while working on computers. Maintain proper brightness of your computer screen. Give rest to your eyes. Close your eyes for few minutes and then again start your work. Keep your palm over your eyes for 15 minutes; your will feel fresh. You can wash your eyes if possible.
Tip 6: Stress can cause serious health problem. Take sound sleep for at least for 6-8 hours. Avoid working for long hours and take breaks.
