Three books to help you learn Manga

Creating your own Manga art is surprisingly easy and once you have learned the basics you’ll be able to create your own characters and story lines. Here are some books that will help get you started learning this animation form.

The first is Manga for the Beginner by Christopher Hart. The book has easy to follow instructions and will help you learn how to create characters, fashion and animals etc. as well as many other aspects of Manga. The book also teaches about shading, which will really bring your characters alive, and also teaches the reader how to create special effects.

Mastering Manga is another book which makes drawing Manga easy to learn It is divided into thirty lessons so you can learn all about this form of animation as you go. The step-by-step instructions make it easy for the beginner to learn, and this book is also good for anyone interested in learning cartoon drawing.

The Monster Book of Manga is a great book if you are new to the subject. Again, all of the lessons are broken down step-by-step to make it easy to learn. The book teaches you how to go from basic black and white pictures to the full colour images that you will have seen in comics etc. The book also has a useful Photoshop tutorial for those who want to take their animation on step further.

There are plenty more books that have been published on the subject of Manga, but the above will give you a good place to start.
