Last night I have watched the Super Bowl. It was not easy to stay awake as I am in Europe and it was early morning when the match finally has finished.

I am always impressed how great Americans are when it comes to showbusiness. Yes showbusiness. However Super Bowl is a sport event, I think the sport itself became just a side event over there.

Gambling, serious investments and constructions, enormous media awareness, technological inventions, live superconcert, expensive advertisements and continous show is the Super Bowl with a lot of money.

But I am rather impressed. Impressed by the way how professionally these all are organized and how carefully they pay attention to te details. Superball is a highlighted moment of the American society, and it may sound funny, it reminds me of the military marching and public celebration in the Soviet Union for the anniversary of their 7th of November revolution.

I don't mean anything bad. I just refer to the fact that highlighted events like this are sort of demonstrations. Demonstrating our wealth, ability, technological advance etc. Football players, especially in American Football are still fighters or at least symbol of fighters. Sort of gladiators.

Their match is not as aggressive as having an entire army marching on the main square but its a milder derivation of it. Which is good of course. And I am the same way impressed by all this power and ability as I was being a child and saw our soldiers jumping into the river Danube from airplanes on our national holiday.
