Steps for Applying Makeup

How often have you looked at those pictures of Penelope Cruz or Katrina Kaif and wondered “Gosh! If only I could wear my makeup like them… Why does it look so natural on them…Were they born with those looks? Didn’t they have to do anything at all?”

Here are the secrets to the steps for applying makeup, secrets that may not make you look as great as Katrina or Penelope. Still, it is worth giving a try. First, select the makeup that is most suitable for the moment. The makeup you wear for the first ballroom dance with your fiancé will not be the same you would wear for graduation ordination. Second, don’t be afraid of not wearing any makeup at all for fear of overdoing it. If you are uneasy, begin with light colors for your shades and add one item at a time like foundation, mascara, a blush and finally the lipstick. If you’ve never worn makeup before, begin with a little and increase as you feel more confident.

Third, some tips for using the various products…
a. Use a light eyeliner as dark and thick will ruin the remaining makeup.
b. Avoid using too much of mascara as it would make you look unreal and begin to flake on pressure.
c. Be careful that the color of the foundation is the same as that of your skin.
d. Do not use too much face powder.
e. Cover the lips completely with the lip liner. Your lipstick will stay on much longer. The color should match your skin tone
f. The color of your hair should match the color of your skin. For adding color to dark hair, allow it to be of the same shade. Use light colors for light hair. Be careful not to let the roots show.

Finally, check that the overall appearance looks natural after completing the makeup. And be sure to carry a face compact in your purse all the time. You may want to do regular touch ups to your face. Among the best skin care products that is being used widely is from REVITOL.
