St. Jacob’s Church is one of the famous churches of Germany. It is located in the historic city of Rothenburg. St. Jacob’s Church is believed to have been built around 1544 AD. This Lutheran church is spectacular to behold. It is extremely impressive primarily because of its lofty towers. The interiors of this church are splendid to look. In fact there are two altars here. It is said that the famous carver, Tilman Riemenschneider had designed these two altars. As a matter of fact Tilman Riemenschneider is often referred to as the Michelangelo of the carvers of wood!

There is a lot of traditional significance attached to this particular church in the sense that it has a small crystal housed in a high altar designed by yet another carver by name, Friedrich Herlin that holds a spot of blood of Jesus.
