Here are some tips that I found very useful when I started to experiment with the affiliate market. See affiliate programs can be a great source of income, but you have to be patient and keep the following things in mind when preparing to join problems and get earning.

1. A method that has worked for me is to find a website on a small topic that interest you or even create a small website based around your interests. If you are a big fan of video gaming like me, read some articles on it and get a small blog started that talks about video games and drive traffic to that site. Then select affiliate programs which closely fit the theme of your site and blend them into the site, using text links.

2. Select your audience meaning find out what age group you will be selling to and base your website and affiliate programs around that. This can also be the first step because once you have the audience (gender, age group, location) in mind then you will have an easier time trying to find content and affiliate programs because you can cater to that audience.

3. Marketing strategies for promoting your site or affiliate programs. This can also be considered affiliate marketing. Find way to get your site known or even the programs that you have joined. You do not need a website, but can have a group of friends that all love electronics, what you can do is join a few programs and send them your text link so they buy using your link.

4. Try to find products and programs that are high in demand in the region you are in or catering too. The high demand products will always have sales and these programs will always pay more commission.

5. Try different programs because a combination will help. Try not to only make money off sales, nut you can also try different approaches like have customers fill out surveys,apply for memberships. Explore the market
