Anyone that has played the past Elder Scrolls game named Oblivion most likely knows about the vampire disease that was in the game. The vampire disease proved to be quite annoying and there were multiple ways to contract it. There was a way if you were attacked by a vampire in a dungeon you had a high chance of getting Vampirism. There was also a way where you had the choice to become a vampire or not when you joined the Dark Brotherhood. If you got far enough in the Dark Brotherhood you become friends with one of the members that is a vampire and he offers to give you the disease.

Once you contracted the disease in Oblivion the only way to get rid of it was doing a very long and boring quest in which you discovered the Duke of one of the game's big towns was a vampire himself. Once you found he was a vampire you went out to find the cure and then you were free of the disease if you chose to be.

Well after all that description of the Vampire disease I am here to tell you that all of that will be included in Skyrim. Being a vampire in the Elder Scrolls series is nothing like it is in Twilight and I personally find it quite annoying and it is something I would try to keep myself away from in Skyrim! The cripple that being a vampire gets you are being instantly killed when in sunlight, which makes playing the game extremely difficult if you can't go in the sun. You also have to feed on sleeping victems to make yourself a healhty vampire and when you do not feed your powers begin to deplete and you become very weak. The only advantage to being a Vampire in The Elder Scrolls is having increased strength while in the dark.

The Elder Scrolls Skyrim is set to launch on November 11th 2011. Let me know in the comments if you will decide to be a vampire or not!
