In the modern gaming world having DLC in a game has almost become standard for games. Even games that no one plays have DLC made for them sometimes. It is pretty surprising to see that Bethesda has not even announced any DLC for their hit game named Skyrim. I am sure you all have heard about Skyrim by now and any player will really want to see some new content in it. Back in the older days of the Xbox 360 when Oblivion was popular Bethesda made two add-ons for the game. One of them was just a quest line for 800 Microsoft Points that did not sell too well. The other was one of my favorite add-ons of all time! The Shivering Isles in Oblivion was a whole new world that could be entered through a mysterious giant portal in the middle of the game's map. The shivering isles world was large and very unique with new enemies and characters. It was only priced at 1200 microsoft points too!
Now onto the important subject at hand, Skyrim DLC. If they made any, it would surely need to be a new area or landscape. The only gripe that I ever had with Skyrim is the fact that every area is mountainous and looks the exact same. Oblivion had a lot of different terrains which made it a lot more interesting. That is why I think the first DLC for Skyrim should be the complete opposite of the map we have now; we need a desert. A desert region could have a savannah as well and this region would really provide the players with a new feel to the game and brand new unique enemies. There would obviously also be a main quest line in this new world along with many side quests. This would be Skyrim's main DLC but I had an idea for another slightly smaller one. How about a quest line in the regular Skyrim world where the Oblivion gates are back? Going into an Oblivion gate was always really fun and would once again provide players with a different feel for the game. Bethesda will most likely not use this idea though as they will not want to bring back old things from another game. I think my first idea of a different region is very possible though.
There has not been any official annoucements for DLC yet for Skyrim, but with the amount of fans the game has, I think it is impossible for Bethesda not to make something for us to buy!
