Some persons will be the centre of attraction where ever they go. The people may take much interest to befriend those guys. They may not be as handsome as film stars or as reputed as politicians or from high echelon society. Still they look attractive and draw attention. Why? Because they take care in controlling their body language. It may be hereditory or self acquired. Whatever, it makes a significant difference, you can see. Here I like to point out some simple things to be taken care of, in order to have a good personality. All may not be practical or acceptable, but practicing those will certainly help you.
It is the most vital part of someone's personality. What are you looking at? That's the question. If you are in a conversation, your eyes must be in contact with the ones of the other person. When making a public speech, you should stand in way that the look of the audience concentrate on your eyes. This may not be easy but try not to loss the contact completely. If you are wearing glasses, never look above it. Because it is widely considered as the symbol of haughtiness.
Don't wear black glasses when being in a meeting, may it be formal or informal. Since it will interrupt the eye contact completely, it will create a distance between you and others. Also looking at watch frequently is a sign of impatience. So if it's urgent to know time, try to look watch secretly.
Different positions of your standing reveal the details of your character. A loose and lazy position give a negative impression to others. Even if you are short among others, a steady position just pushing your shoulders back will do it perfectly. Keep your legs a little away from each other so that the body will be balanced well.
The position of hands crossed on chest should be avoided in formal situations. Also try not to fill your pockets with your hands, as it arise untrust in others.
The way of sitting is as important as that of standing. The position will give a clear idea of your attitude towards others. If you are listening to someone, try to lean a little bit forward. Don't sit curved and too backwards. It will annoy the other person. But don't sit very tightly either as if you are full of air.
Keeping your legs crossed will give a sign of haughtiness as well. Try to avoid it in friendly meetings. Let your legs firmly touch the floor. Another bad habit a few people have is shaking the chair always. It is purely annoying and should be avoided. You should look pretty much relaxed but interested to others.
These are all simple things you can take care of. Practicing much of these may be difficult in starting but will produce a good result.
