For some individuals, creating abundance is difficult if they have challenges finding or keeping a job. Also, if someone has (something that some of us may take for granted) -- 'the stamina' to hold-down a job; (show-up on time, do the job efficiently and correctly, be an asset) -- and most importantly (regarding abundance), maintain a steady-income-flow, the way in which he or she maintains his or her income is a very primary key-factor, that effects creating financial abundance. The more we prioritize and develop a budget to get rid of debt to be at a balanced financial level (personally), the more we can help to create a balanced financial level, for others, by not adding to deficit; instead -- adding to an abundance of prosperity for everyone (creating flow).
Discipline is also a primary key. Not only do we need to discipline ourselves to educate ourselves to get that dream-job to fulfill our altruistic needs, we also need to apply that discipline, when we get that dream-job. If going to school is not a current option, finding a job (simply to put food on the table) in the current tough-job market, may be a full-time job in itself. If we have challenges finding or keeping a job, it can certainly hinder the flow of financial abundance; not to mention, effect the other parts of life, that are related to happiness; stability; and creativity.
Focus, discipline, exploration, and decisiveness, are four things that help with achieving abundance. We need discipline to learn and explore new things, so that we can focus and decide upon what we really need or would like to do, so therefore, we can achieve and maintain abundance. Creating, developing, and prospering; instead of simply persevering and existing.

You do have to persevere and give it your all to be successful, of course sometimes you have the discipline and the perseverance and it still doesn't work out, but if you don't put your very best foot forward, it certainly wont work out. Hmm, I'm not so sure about that. I have known people who did very little and still were promoted before the hard workers.
Life is funny that way; is it not? We count on fairness in life; and sometimes we need to expect the unexpected; and we need to be aware that how the game of life is played, is not always fair.
Sometimes, the best-foot that we put forward, is the one that gets unexpectedly stepped on; and we may scratch our heads and wonder: 'How did that happen?'
The other guy, may have an attribute that we are lacking; or, someone's 'perception' of our hard work, may be key in our failure or success.
Go figure...
