Alcohol can be a very enjoyable and soothing substance when consumed. But did you know that the
alcohol you are drinking is more dangerous to your health than you think it is?
To begin with what is alcohol? Is it a Drug?
The answer to the latter question is a BIG YES. Alcohol is a drug. Alcohol is a sedative drug that tempers with a consumer’s central nervous system. When taken, alcohol makes you feel more relaxed. This is alcohol playing with your brain.
Consuming alcohol in excess is very dangerous to the health of any human being. Below I have stated some of the dangers associated with the copious intake of alcohol or better this way – alcohol addiction.
Excessive alcohol intake affects your health and basically every part of your body in a very terrible way. Alcohol, when abused on a regular basis particularly targets the liver and nervous system more than any other parts of the human. The liver and the nervous system are the first parts of the body that the alcohol will damage. This case is even worse when the alcohol abuser is on a poor diet (that is lacking a proper balanced diet).
What alcohol abuse really does to the liver is it gradually and steadily damages it until it can function no more. The condition of the damage of the liver by alcohol is known professionally or scientifically as cirrhosis. When the liver is damaged as a result of alcohol abuse, what happens next is liver failure – which is where your liver fails to work in the proper manner. Then it progresses to cancer of the liver and then finally to the death of the alcohol abuser.
The Nervous System – Alcohol damages the nervous system in several ways. The worst and dangerous part of alcohol to this sector of the human is it directly damages the brain cells. When the brain cells begin to get damaged by excessive alcohol consumption, the first symptom the alcohol abuser will experience is continuous anxiety and depression. Sadly it does not stop here, and as the person keeps on abusing the alcoholic beverage, the damage to the brain can then lead into dementia – where you loose your ability to think and behave properly.
According to doctors, the above are not the only dangers of taking too much alcohol on a daily basis. There are several other grave things that can happen to an alcohol abuser, among them include impotence, loss of proper balance, numbness in several body parts including the feet and hand, diabetes, internal bleeding, high blood pressure, inflammation of the pancreas, stroke and alcohol abuse can also lead into blindness.
The dangers of alcohol abuse are so many so please beware, for alcohol is more dangerous than you think it is. Excessive intake of alcohol will kill you!

Comments
Every one who drinks alcohol regularly knows about its bad effects. But the intake of alcohol increases by the day. Nothing can be done.
I somehow think that there is always something that can be done about any bad situation.
