SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES
 
Sexually transmitted diseases (STD) are, as the name suggests, transmitted from one human to another in the act of intercourse. There are many different kinds of sexually transmitted diseases; the most common one of them is Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, more commonly known as Aids.
 
Most of these sexually transmitted diseases can have very harmful effects on your life. Perhaps the worst part about STD is that they are not easily recognized. This is because their symptoms are usually very common, for example fever, coughing, nausea, etc. Due to this, very few people consult a doctor until it is too late.
 
For this very reason it is very important that we understand the risks of sexually transmitted diseases and be aware and knowledgeable about every characteristic of theirs since they can hit anyone. First and foremost keep in mind that no kind of STD is contagious and cannot be acquired through breathing the same air or through normal physical contact.
 
Sexually transmitted diseases are transferred either through saliva, through blood or most commonly, through sperm. Because of this certain precautions need to be taken. There are other ways in which sexually transmitted diseases are known to occur. Do not use anyone else’s shaving equipment; make sure that the barber uses a new disposable razor on you rather than using an old one.
 
Remember that all kind of sexual acts can lead to sexually transmitted diseases. Oral, vaginal or anal sex does not matter as all three can cause STD. Make sure that you use the necessary precautions when performing intercourse. Do not indulge in sexual intercourse without the aid of a condom. Even then make sure that your partner does not have STD. Get him or her checked along with your own self so as to ensure that. Do not perform intercourse with strangers as there is a higher chance of them having STD.
 
Mosquitoes and other blood sucking animals do not suck enough blood to cause sexually transmitted diseases.
