Saving Private Ryan-Review

Saving private ryan is a movie which I think is the best of all war movies ever made in the history of Hollywood. The film is based on the background of Second World War. It was directed by Steven Spielberg and was written by Robert Rodat.
The most famous scene of the film is the first 27 minutes which depict the Omaha beachhead assault of June 6, 1944. The main characters in the movie are Tom hanks, tom sizemore, Edward burns, barry pepper, vin diesel, Jeremy davis.

The film starts with a depiction of the d-day. The allied invasion of 6 june, 1944. Captain Miller has to lead his men in the enemies area to search and save private Ryan.
Spielberg won an oscar for best director. The d-date scene has won awards for the most powerful war scene in movie history.

Spielberg and his cast has created something which is both fascinating as well as shocking. The starting half an hour is something which is very true in any real war. It just does not show that somebody is winning and somebody is loosing but it shows the actual scenes in the war where there is no mercy for anybody as the command is in the hands of bullets and they are not human.
People die in war and this movie reveals the full terror of that, without pulling any punches or backing away from showing any injuries or casualties can occur during a war.

Tom hanks have given another class performance and have shown that he is the best in any dramatic as well as lighthearted roles.
His character in the film is a leader who does not have much confidence to lead a team but he never shows that in front of his men. He has their respect but he sometimes feels wrong about some decisions that he has taken in the field.

The second half of the film is not that realistic but still has a long and nice story that you will feel emotional and great about it.
A must watch for any movie lover and for tom hanks fans.
