RuneScape 99 Fishing Guide

1-20

Net Fishing Shrimp/Anchovies, you will need a small fishing net. You will only catch Shrimp until lvl 15 then you will start seeing Anchovies and Shrimp pop up in your inventory while fishing. This shouldn't take to long to do.

Shrimp- 10xp each

Anchovies- 40xp each

20-99 f2p

Fly fishing Trout and Salmon, sadly for f2p people this method is the fastest method to 99 and the money is bad so i recommend just dropping the fish. It is also however considered the second or third best Fishing xp in all of the game. You can gain 40,000-45,000xp per hour.

Trout- 50xp each

Salmon- 70xp each

Follow the f2p guide up to lvl 20

20-65

Continue Fly fishing

Trout- 50xp each

Salmon- 70xp each

65-99

Net fishing Monkfish, this method is extremely good xp and cash per hour. You can gain around 50,000xp an hour fishing monks.

Monkfish- 120xp each

Make over 35m

If you start fishing Rocktails from lvl 90 and go all the way to 99 you will make well over 35m. I don't recommend this method for speed but i figured i would add it because you can make so much money from it.

NOTE:

- You can pick up your skillcape inside the Fishing Guild from the Fishing master for 99k

- You can click the option "opperate" while wearing the skillcape and your Fishing lvl will be boosted to 100

- If this is your first 99 then your cape will be untrimmed

- If this is your second 99 then all your skillcapes will be trimmed forever automatically with no extra fee or choice
