When life gets stressful, or we don't eat correctly, we risk our PH levels becoming unbalanced. Our bodies will do anything to keep from turning acidic, including using up our precious calcium and other minerals in order to keep the PH levels balanced. The best ways to prevent this are to keep stress levels down (if only that were as easy as it sounds!) and to feed ourselves alkalinizing, anti-inflammatory foods. This green juice is quick and easy to make and will refresh, cool, and calm your system. The recipe makes one juice, but can be watered down to make two, just be sure to do 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric in each cup for the full anti-inflammatory effect!

To get started, you'll need:

A Juicer
One Large Cucumber, peeled
5 Medium Celery Stalks
1-2 Lemons
1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric
1 Pinch Sea Salt

Juice the cucumber and celery, and lemon. Pour in a glass and fill the rest of the way with water. Add pinch of sea salt, turmeric, and stir. I like to let sit for a few minutes before drinking to let the turmeric fully dissolve and mix in. Stir again, and enjoy!

Tip: I like to cut the leaves off my celery and eat them on salad instead of juicing them. They are delicious and really add a lot of flavor.
