I don’t often do book reviews, but since I’ve rediscovered my love for reading I thought I would combine my two passions.

If you are a Karen Rose fan and enjoy reading crime/thriller fiction then this is the book for you.

Detective Bobby Dees grows increasingly concerned about the number of teenage girls that are going missing, especially because his own daughter has been missing for over a year and no one knows what has happened to her. The latest young girl to go missing is Lainey. At first glance is appears she has run away, after all she comes from a broken home and her older sister has run away a number of times. But is this the case for Lainey, or has she been kidnapped?

Pretty Little Things draws you into a world of fear and suspense. The book tells the story through different points of views of all the different characters in the story, something which I’ve found that helps keep the story interesting and means both adults and teenagers will be able to relate to what is going on within the story.

The story is very descriptive without overloading the reader, and they are plenty of twisted and turns to keep you interested. I would give this book a 4/5.
