There are no set rules or principles in the bible to follow meticulously, except living in its truth. Yet, people often come-up with ideas of bypassing its difficult part – which is the holiness and righteousness. Scripture says, seek the Lord our God and you will find Him, if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul (Deuteronomy 4:29). How come someone seek the holy God without surrendering to His grace? And how come someone surrender to His grace without repenting? And how come someone repent without the work of the Lord in their heart? And how come the Lord works in you, if you are not chosen? Besides all, bible implore all the believers to be holy since the one they believe is holy (1 peter 1:16).

Apparently, seeking God nowadays is limited to the time of people’s troubles, as many desperately seek Him only to overcome their difficult situations. However, there is nothing wrong for anyone to seek God in times of their trouble or pain, as long as their submissiveness with repentance is truly evident in His sight. As a matter of fact, it’s the work of the Lord to inflict His chosen with the spirit of repentance and acceptance – a seldom discussed topic in bible! In other words, He will set our minds and hearts according to His plans and purposes in due time, if we are chosen. Yes indeed, being chosen we are the puppets of Lord: If we claim to have our own knowledge in choosing God; then we are not worthy to be His children. Bible declares that the wisdom of the world is foolishness when it comes to God and His righteousness (1 Corinthians 3:19-20).

One of the basic principles of God is the abundance in His spoken words. It has been observed that many are mesmerized and still in the trance of bible fantasies – especially under the title of ‘Prosperity Gospel’. Sadly, this mindset of people getting rich with the Lord monetarily has never been mentioned in the bible; instead word of God invites everyone (true believers) to be in the abundance of His words. Prosperity is the fullness of His words, not the richness of the world. Nevertheless, the beauty is, once we lose the world for His sake, we are actually gaining everything – both the righteousness and the world. Truth to be told, God is light and there is no room for darkness in His light –so never think that God will help anyone, while they’re still in the darkness. Yet, if you’re chosen, He will cleanse you first before embracing with His grace!

Another bible principle for getting all the provisions from the Lord is to keep Him closer, and that is well written in the hallmark verse of Matthew 6:33. If anyone tries bypassing this principle, it is simply mocking the Lord along with His precepts. Mind you, Satan is so cunning and smart to intervene at this point to fool you. That’s why bible warns us with a written verse in 2 Corinthians 11:14, NIV-Bible; “No wonder, Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light”. As a matter of fact, any interpretations of bible should not deviate from the basic principles of God; and if it does, there is no truth in it and this includes and concludes all the verses from the beginning till end. It is so disturbing for many or at least for professing Christians, to read certain verses in bible written in John 5:39-40, NIV-Bible; “you study the scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.” – In fact, it’s an advice!

In addition, scriptures testify that God does not need any glory from the unrighteous people; instead He is glorified through His son Jesus. And the son Jesus Christ is glorified through His true disciples as they are few and outstanding. The unchanging word of God declares this very truth in Matthews 22:14; “many are invited, but few are chosen”. It is a privilege to be chosen by the Lord. Therefore, it’s time to seek the Lord with all your heart and mind. Amen
