At least two of future Hall of Fame players will continue their quest for a first NBA Championship tomorrow when the finals resume at Miami between the OKC Thunder and Miami Heat.
Game 3 will have deep implications on both teams and their respective best players. For Lebron James and the Miami Heat, it will prove their consistency, their killer’s instinct when they have the momentum on their side. By winning game 2 on the road, they have dramatically changed the landscape of this finals matchup in their favor. If they have the resolve to continue playing as hard as they did three nights ago, it will only prove that they can smell blood and get things done after years of frustration.
For the OKC Thunder, it will be a test, more on their staying power rather than persistence. Trailing for most parts of their first games against the Heat, look forward for Oklahoma to have a strong start. They showed that they can really be explosive when they put their heart to it, but if they play hard in the first three quarters, will they be able to sustain that until the end of the 48th minute?
Lebron James has given well-measured responses in interviews, a sign of maturity, and he looks more than ready to pounce on the hopes of OKC Thunder. But Kevin Durant is also mature beyond his years, and there is Russel Westbrook who will fire the team up with his bravado.
OKC Thunder thinks they don’t have to wait another year for the trophy. The Miami Heat thinks they have been through so much that they deserve it more than anybody else in the league.
Look forward to another exciting match that will provide a glimpse of how an NBA dynasty could begin. Game 3 will be at 8pm ET, June 17.
