Mythical Woman

In a small tiny desolate village of North India in the year 1809 a story unfolded about a mystery woman who lived and snatched away youthful men of their dreams and desires by eating into the lives through ghostly appearance and tempting lusty moves.
This is that story…

A cluster of villages lay silently tucked away in the hills of northern India, wooded and healthy in atmosphere it seemed heaven on earth to all and sundry that inhibited the place. A large joint family who were in to carpentry lived a happy and content life until their young son came of age and ached for love, romance and marriage after all. Family looked for a bride but the young man turned every proposal down, those days it was a tradition and thumb rule that men marry at an early age and that it was mandatory to obey parents and go with their choice. However, the young lad was adamant to find his lady love of his choice and went about hunting for one during his little spare time after and in between his hard labor hours at the forest with his father and uncles alike.

One evening while returning he heard a beautiful voice in the silence of the wooded echo a melodious tune in his ear, shrilled, thrilled and carried away by the enchanting voice from a distance, the lad just simply let himself drift towards the unknown sound that drew him like a magnet and indeed dishonoring his father’s call as well ….

The voice was of a beautiful tall woman, dusky, long black hair, a fragrance ever so sweet filled the air as she walked past by urging the lad to follow suit. Captivated by her looks and sway he quickly doubled his footsteps hoping to stop her ,hold her and kiss her such was his urge for a woman.
The mystery woman stopped and held her hand only to draw him surprisingly close to her side, hands clasped behind her back she allowed the lad to indulge in his longing to be held, kissed and hugged from the word go.. A perfect sight to watch, for the clouds hung low and mist all over, silence in its best form to add harmony to the moment that is best described as breadth taking!

The romance blossomed with the young lad meeting his lover at the fall of dusk to indulge in steamy love play that followed by ravenous sex which according to some left claw marks on the lads chest and arms.

Villagers tried stopping him from seeing the mythical creature but the lads urge only grew stronger instead, determined to bring her home and make her his wife he walked on and on seeing her waiting with open arms he decided to carry her back home in a flash – She gently obliged and once they reached there she simply went right in and shut the door, days went by and she never came out.

The lad was growing weary and tired due to her demands. One night his mother peeped through the window to see what the lady was up to and was astonished as there lay combing her long black hair, singing and adjusting her legs in the fire that was fuel for cooking her lover’s meal.

She narrated the tale to her son and others who were all worked up and prepared to drive her away the next morning – On return and behind closed doors the young lad on eating his meal felt sleepy and asked is lover to switch off the light as he was tired from a long hard days work – She was annoyed to see that he was not going to bed her and switched out her tongue in rage and stuck it in his throat, the lad collapsed and died instantly. Next morning the villagers found his body lying in a pool of blood, the mystery lady left with a tune so haunting and wanting that all villagers swore to hunt her down.

However, till today people say that they hear a more sad song and tune ever since that happening….
