My Expertscolumn articles Update April 2012 (55% Traffic decrease)

This is now the third month since I have started tracking my Columns Page views, the first two months was absolutely incredible but this months have a major drop all of a sudden, my Page views for the last months was 1747 Page views for January, 2608 Page views for February, 5108 Page views for March (my Top record) and 2312 Page views for April (That is a 55% Page views decrease over last month). During April I have added only one Column to reach 64 total Columns, looking at my Top 5 viewed columns at expertscolumn you will not see any major difference about last months, expect of course for the Page views.

It's always sad to see your Page views or traffic have a major drop but it will be okay when we understand the reasons behind it. First of all starting with April I experienced a drop on the traffic on my Columns here and on my personal blog; but for my blog traffic started to come back to my blog, however the main reason why I have experienced this traffic drop on my columns is the recent enhancements, maintenance and upgrades Expertscolumn website had, this leads to the website unavailability for sometimes and the inability to track traffic other times. I am pretty sure that this has effect most if not all of us here, and I am not blaming the website for this drop in the traffic; such enhancements are mandatory for the better of this site and all of us, I am just stating the facts for the traffic drop to make sure that it was not a mistake that I have done so that I don't be forced to tweak my strategies to bring traffic back. Seeing the traffic for the first days of May confirms that the issue is now resolved and that the website is stable now as now traffic have started to flow back normaly.

What is my traget for May: Add more Columns and make sure my traffic to reach at least my March record, at the end if you haven’t check my strategies to boost my traffic in March you should read My Expertscolumn articles Update March 2012 (96% Traffic increase) for all the tips and advices.

My most popular 50 fairness tips article which generates 2500-3000 views daily has been removed from Google search which had excellent ranking in Google.I do not know what to do for this.Ranking may change, i know ,but it totally disappeared from Google.It is disappointing as it affected my views to a great deal.

Hi NUTAN,

I understand your feeling it's really very hard when you just do something wrong and get two much views daily you then get effected by Google updates. I have an article on other website which was generating around 15K views weekly and recently decreased to 5k views because of recent Google updates, although Google declares that they fighting spammers but they have take down some successful businesses and bloggers on their way, what is Google responsible " mandatory scarifies'', hope things will get better.
