Children play nice or else I'll have to separate you. I'm reminded of this phrase I often use to stop my children from fighting, but last night i wasn't saying this to my children. I was talking to my TV as I saw the catiness with which Christina Aguilera critiqued Tony Lucca's performance of 99 Problems, on The Voice. The two former Mouseketeers have not been getting along all season as the competition has progressed, and it started out when Christina didn't recognize Tony in his initial Voice audition. Not until Tony Lucca walked off stage and met his family in the back, did Christina Aguilera have a clue that the man who had just auditioned was a member of the Mickey Mouse Club who worked with her for over 2 years. I'm pretty sure someone sitting behind her in the audience told her who he was and to save face she walked backstage to greet Tony with the proper greeting he should have received. Tony Lucca took the snub in stride, after all you don't see someone for years and your unlikely to recognize them later on, but after a while Tony started to get miffed at the critiques Christina was giving him throughout the competition. Finally, enough was enough and Adam Levine devised a clever gimmick to give Christina Aguilera a dose of her own medicine. Choosing the song 99 Problems for one of Tony Lucca's final performances was meant to be a retaliation to Christina, but when she got wind of it, it lead to a huge disagreement between Adam Levine and Christina. I won't go into who is right and who is wrong in this situation. I feel both Mouseketeers need to take a lesson from all the Disney movies they probably watched as kids, and learn to get along.
