The Me

Me is an Adult male of the world, who loves all the good things of life; having in mind that me needs to go through the bad, to smile to and from the bank. Me resides in the 'trigger' of Africa, you might have heard of the place;or seen it on the map,its called Nigeria. Me studied Geography in the University of Ilorin, and gives thanks those who contributed to me being a graduate, a luxury, considering the fact that the daily income of an average 'triggerian' is below $5....hence a large portion of the population survives on a 'hand to mouth regime' with little savings, if any at all. Me does not like to be seen as a writer, rather as a word juggler, using words to paint mental pictures of self, place, time, thought, reason and life in its entirety. Me has never left the 'trigger', so, me has decided on trying as much with this particular piece to show you who me is and give little insight to where me hails from. The 'trigger' has three major cultures and languages;Yoruba,Hausa and Igbo , of which me hails from Igbo tribe. Personally, me thinks that those who came up with the names for these tribes and languages were in fact a lazy bunch, for the languages share the tribe names. So the yorubas,speak yoruba The hausas, speak hausa And guess what the Igbo speak........ There you go, I score you 100, for getting it right. Me was born into the 'trigger' sometime in the 80's; and has seen major changes within the trigger, like introduction of the GSM in 2001 and Introduction of the internet in 1996, innovations that stayed as luxuries for the better part of the year they where introduced. Even though the 'trigger' has always promised better life and innovations for its occupants since the inception of me, me has long since seen past the smoke screen put up by pot-bellied chess playing grand masters behind curtains, using innocent lives as set pieces. Despite the fact that 75% of the 'triggers' annual budget goes to 25% of the population, made up mostly of these modern day Ceasers, and 25% going to 75% of the population, 'triggerians' have always succeeded in surviving. Me has so far seen 'triggerians' as cockroaches; an insect that survives for a week or more after losing its head, that thrives even in a nuclear reactor, an adaptor if you please. To 'Me', one of the strongest creatures alive. living in the 'trigger', you can put up your patriotism for sale,as it seldom exists. A security personal of the 'trigger' won't rescue you if involved in an altercation(robbery,riot etc) and the other party had weapons more sophisticated than theirs; reason for that? "They claim to have families at home". In the same light, a committee of 10 members or less, fighting for the right(s) of a community of about 10,000 can easily forget the enormity of the situation if flashed a few currency notes, the result of this? 'Everybody lives for himself' and the motto is "Adapt or die" . 'Triggerians' are really good at adapting, for why would you see at least a 'triggerian' in every part of the world....... I know we are all over, lol, why else will me have an uncle in Peru. Me see's himself too as a cockroach, because adapting is what me does best, and in as much as me wants to fill up this page with colourful words that paint pictures of the 'trigger' and 'me', me is in a ram shackled structure made of an odd combination of cement and wood, filled with six desktop computers, one being the server; a few stools , some people, handling various activities on their monitors and a very loud mouthed attendant who sold me an hours ticket to surf the internet with.......and as me is a cockroach, me has to type this write, take an online aptitude test, and update all his blog sites within the hour.
