Making Money Publishing Articles

I began publishing articles on July 6th when I stumbled upon Triond while surfing the internet for something or other. I thought a site where you could publish articles on whatever topic that interests you would be fun (and profitable) after all I love to write anyway. So I went to work publishing my first article The Art of Getting the Baby to Bed and nobody read it. It’s very daunting to login and have that 0 views staring at you directly in the face. So it says ad friends which I dutifully did and I had one or two views which helped my self esteem. Three weeks later I have made 6 cents on Triond for my effort of publishing 21 articles including 5 pictures.

I thought maybe there would be similar sites to Triond and read some people on Triond also worked for Experts Column so I decided to join after all their privacy statement states you can use the same articles as long as you leave a link on the other site. So I copied my articles onto Expert Column and have made 37 cents with 15 articles published – I couldn’t upload my poetry and some shorter recipes as they have a 200 word minimum. I consistently get about 20 views a day on ExpertsColumn without publishing a new article compared to zero on Triond so I would definitely say it is a more profitable site however there payout is larger at $5.00 compared to Trionds 50 cents.

I’m still debating if all this work is worth it as I only make about 2 cents a day on Experts Column but perhaps if I had 30 columns I would make 4 cents a day and 6 cents with 45 columns. So I need about 7 and a half columns to make a penny therefore I would need about 750 columns to make a dollar a day? That seems like an awful lot of effort… Maybe if I understood these marketing strategies they speak of I could decrease the efforts but they seem like a headache. Well if I’m going to write anyway I my swell put it on the internet so the odd person thank you!) will read it then have it sitting in the bottom of my drawer.
