The substance of Christianity lies in the faith and righteousness of its believers – especially of those who are chosen and destined to do God’s will. Sadly, many Christians are still living in reverie of self-righteousness; unaware of Satan’s work, who has perverted the very definition of sin to an acceptable modern-day trend of prosperous living. Many believers do not even think that they are sinning since most of their wrong doings are entailed with their various emotions – fair enough to justify the motives and its unpleasant finales. In addition, most of the sins among believers are now psychological, rather than its physical counterpart; and thus cancelling the seriousness of sinning because it's happening in their hearts – an inwardly secret phenomenon ever!
The time has now come to eliminate all those sanctimonious attitudes, for the sake of scriptures and its true revelations. Looking back to the ministry of Jesus Christ on earth, it was evident that He stood up always for pleasing God the Father in almost every word and in action. It is written in Hebrews 10:5-6 (NIV Bible); “Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but a body you have prepared for me; in burnt offerings and sin offerings you have taken no pleasure”.
Preserving ourselves in holiness is the key for attaining the everlasting glory since Jesus Christ has shown us the right way and life. Besides, perfectness in our very being is better than any other offerings, declares the bible. It has been understood that the first covenant of burnt offerings and sin offerings has been replaced with a second covenant of faith (Hebrews 8:7-8) – where the sacrificial lamb is Jesus Christ himself who cleanses our hearts and minds through the faith.
Therefore, believe and recognize that our righteous living can only bring the everlasting joy in Jesus Christ; which leads to a prosperous living in the word as well. Word of God says in Hebrews 10:14 (NIV Bible); “For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are sanctified”. It is really encouraging and at the same time inspiring to know that Jesus Christ died for all the chosen people on earth - giving them a reason to do His will, being holy and righteous forever. Just like our Lord rested after the days of creation, He is inviting every believer to come to that rest with Him through their righteousness (Hebrews 4:9-11) – which is also predestined long time ago in Christ Jesus.
