Life is everything. Nature, actions, thoughts, emotions, and plain old just being there. That's basically what life is. The purpose of life? Why we're here? Well the purpose is like a dog chasing its tail. The dog has a goal to get its tail of which it can never reach , yet eventually the dog tires out and looses the energy to continue and then tries again. This relates to life in the way that we are always trying to figure out new things and our goal is to know everything and hope that we just might find out why we are here. The answer to why we are here is like the dog's tail and we are the dog. We will never reach the answer to why we are here unless we die. In the scenario with the dog chasing its tail, think of dying as becoming the other dog that is nearby watching. That dog can get to the tail of the other dog. Therefore we will only get to the answer to life once we are dead.
