Knoji is Turning to Something Else

Knoji is a site that was originally known as factodoiz. it is one of the many sites on the net that boasts of a degree of professionalism. But when it was known as  factoidoiz it was a site that concentrated on publishing articles. It however had a whimsical approach and took about 2/3 days to approve an article and in some cases it disapproved an article. No criterian  was laid down as to what were the reasons an article was rejected. The telling  part was that the site banned a writer from writing for the site in case 3 of his or hers articles was found unfit for publishing. The ban could last anything from 10 to 40 days. Again no criterian was laid down as to what was the time period of the ban and how it was worked out.

The site for reasons best known to it rechristened itself as  knoji.com. Any site is free to name itself as it deems fit so one really cannot comment on this christening. The site that emerged came with some significant changes and created more questions than answers. The promotors of the site started with heavy payments for the articles but soon the payments trickled down to 0.8 to 0.10 cents for an article. Compared to the fact that earlier the site was paying anthing up to $ 2 -2.5 for an article, this is a real downslide. No explanation for this  is available and the site  continues merrily. One cannot fault a site for lowering payments, but what is intriguing is the flip flops the site resorts to.

The site now has started some additional  facets that inclde writing company profiles and asking and answering questions. The payments for these are OK at present , but its track record does not invite confidence and there is every chance that like the downslide in article payments the same may come about in these new  facets.

Knowji is thus a site that is a mystery. One is not clear what the promotors are planning. Obviously they want to make money. That is Ok as most sites are in this field to make money, but the method of making money with its flip flops is unethical. There is no permanence in this site. Perhaps that is the way the site functions. I will recommend writers to give this site a wide berth  if possible.
