Kimi to Boku (You and I)

Synopsis:

The story revolves around a group of childhood friends with the exception of one who joined them on their second year in high school. The story shows the everyday life of five teenagers along with the problems they face growing up.

Characters:

Kaname

He is an achiever who excels in academics and is part of the student council. He easily gets mad which is why the Asaba twins tend to make fun of him. Although it would seem that he does not belong to the group since he complains a lot about how they are too noisy or lazy, he is actually fond of how they are.

Shun

He plays the mother role of the group due to her gentle nature and feminine looks. He likes cute and girly things but the group accepts him. People often think he is a girl and makes him wear feminine clothing. He is shown to be strong hearted despite how he acts and he cares deeply for his friends.

Yuta

He is the older one of the Asaba twins. He usually wears an emotionless expression. He is actually one of the more dependable person in the group even though he likes to make fun of Kaname and Chizuru from time to time. As the older brother he always takes care of Yuki.

Yuki

He is the younger one of the Asaba twins. He has a very laidback nature and seems like he is always bored. He doesn’t like doing anything else but read manga and play video games. He played with Chizuru when he was younger who eventually joined the group. He is very dependent to Yuta.

Chizuru

He is the newest addition to the group but quickly became close to everyone. He has a very energetic personality but he also has more serious side. He is very clingy and likes to hang out with his friends. He played with Yuki when he was younger which led to him becoming friends with the others.

Kimi to Boku is not the type of anime that will quickly grab your attention due to it’s light nature. Due to it’s slice of light genre it strays away from exaggerated drama and instead focuses on the little things that have impact in our lives. This series makes you feel like your one of them as every episode passes by. Eventually you will grow attached to this character and you will enjoy to it’s fullest. Kimi to Boku’s major x-factor is how it’s so real so the show truly touches your heart. It is an anime that will make just make you smile at the end of the day. It is something that I will definitely recommend to others to watch.

PS

this show has a LOT of cats in it.
