Do you keep a list of passwords in your wallet, purse, or backpack? Life is hectic, and it may be a comforting feeling to know that your passwords are with you if you ever forget them. Here is a thought that is not so comforting, however: wallets, purses, and backpacks can be lost or stolen. Whoever finds your item will also find your list of passwords.

Here is a better idea. Commit your passwords to memory. That may sound impossible, but if you make your passwords out of things that are important to you, you will remember them. It also helps if they are things that other people will not be able to guess. They might know who your favorite author is, what your favorite television show is, or the name of your favorite song, so pick something else. Be creative. The more creative you are, the safer your information will be.

When your information is safe, you can breathe easier and enjoy life. You can take your lunch break without worrying that the person who uses the computer right after you will gain access to your information. You can take a vacation without worrying that your bank account will be emptied while you are on vacation causing problems while you are away and making it difficult for you to get home.

Happy brainstorming! May you come up with some creative passwords to keep your information safe.
