Jet-packs may seem like a far-fetched idea but I believe that it is possible. There have been some successful jet-pack tests, but the danger and the money it takes to make one are crazy. Will jet-packs become a household product in the future?

Men have always wanted to fly. Before airplane were popular,  hot air balloons were the craze. The Empire State in New York was structured to dock a hot air balloon. Then came the airplanes. They seemed dangerous at first but over time they got safer. Airplanes have made traveling easy. This has helped advance our world faster. The invention of the airplane has also made us vulnerable to diseases. The Swine Flu was able to spread over the world easily because people were traveling using airplanes.

Jet-packs will make men's dream of flying like birds come true. We won't be sitting in a vehicle, but experiencing flight firsthand. The difference between flying with a jet-pack and flying in a airplane are worlds apart. Parachutes are the closest things to a jet-pack so far. You can only go down with a parachute, but you experience the wind when you are in mid-air. You can't really control a parachute but its still a  great experience.

Buying a jet-pack will not be cheap. The technology needed to make a jet-pack will make you empty your pockets. It will be like when cars were first invented. Only the rich will be able to afford it, but eventually the middle class will be able to afford it. Then, we will soar in the air like the birds we always stared at.

People can hardly be trusted with vehicles that stay on the ground. Add a third dimension and the possibilities for carnage are vast. There you are, enjoying the sun in your garden, when crash! down comes some idiot who forgot to refuel his jetpack and ran out of petrol mid-air.
