Like most people, I have countless books, CDS, DVDs etc. at home. If it is something I will watch, read, or listen to over and over again then I’ll keep it but there are books, CDs and DVDs that I know I’m only going to listen to or look at once.

I often resell items and then buy new ones to take their place, but I’ve recently been looking at the many Internet swap sites which are around, and which seem to be getting increasingly popular.

Each of the sites has a different way of working, and you would need to look at the terms and conditions before signing up to see if the site would work for you. It is a great way of getting new items without having to pay out any additional money and of recycling your old items you no longer want.

Each of the sites has a number of categories including DVDs, mobiles, hobbies, collectables and computers so there should be something on there for everyone. When it comes to swapping your items, some will be more in demand than others, and this is something you should bear in mind before adding items to any of the sites.

Some of the sites also offer a Wanted section where you can request items you would like. If you want to find out more about swap sites then a quick search will bring up more information and a list of plenty of the available swap sites.
