INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

International Women’s day is celebrated every March 8 around the world. It celebrates the achievements of women in the field of politics, economy and social achievements as well. History tells us that the role of women in the past was just to be a wife and a mother. Your achievements would be your children. If your children have grown to be a fine young men or women it will all be credited to the mothers who have devoted all their lives in taking care of their homes. So where did the all the single women go? Noticed that in the past, women were pressured to get married? It is because of this notion that women are to stay at home.

Now, women can be seen in the workplace already, and even sometimes hold a high position in the society. They can even vote, unlike before that the right to vote was only given to men. However, even if the roles of women have evolved the stigma is still exists. Most women’s works are more of support services. Why? Because still, even if women have a job, they are expected to be a mother and a wife at the same time if already married. Unlike men, who upon getting home just sit and relax and wait for the wife to prepare everything for the family, except of course if there is a household help. I salute all the women who are working and at the same time raising a family. It's not an easy job. You have to balance everything. Take note of this too! women who are daughters will always be daughters that would sometimes go back to their parents to visit in their old age or even more give service to their needs. This means, more balancing of time.

Now that we are in the twentieth century, the roles of women have evolved. We are always pressing the issue for equality with men. That women should not be treated as someone who cannot do a mens' job. But admit it, if you’re a woman and reading this, you would always want a guy to open a door for you; expect them to pull a chair for you; and everything a gentleman would do for the ladies.
